The WH-1000XM5 headphones from Sony are the most recent upgrade to their top-of-the-line noise cancellation lineup. They sport a new design, enhanced ANC, and many of the same features as their predecessors but with better materials and slightly higher quality sound.

With only 250g, they're light for over ear bluetooth headphones-ear ANC headsets. They're extremely comfortable to wear, even when you're listening to or reading the audiobook. The headband is a friction-rod design similar to the Grado Labs SR60x, which will keep your ears from becoming too cold.

The WH-1000XM5 comes with a distinct sound signature designed to please casual music listeners as and serious audiophiles. It is tuned with a slight increase in bass, yet it's not harsh or imposing. They have a wide and wide soundstage, with good instrument separation, which lets you hear details in your music. The earcups are also equipped with touch controls, which are responsive and intuitive to use. The WH-1000XM5's mic performance on calls is superb, and there's no muffled or static-y sounding background. Noise cancelling is also excellent and these headphones are perfect for public transportation or in the office.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2

The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2 is a major upgrade from its predecessor, offering premium performance and features. It features wireless streaming with 24-bit and optimized active noise cancellation, as well as clear voice call quality on any compatible mobile phone or tablet. A strong hinge on the back of the headband lets you to fold them for easy transportation in an enclosed case.

The headphones are powered by Bluetooth 5.2, with the aptX Adaptive. This is great for high-quality audio as well as tight video sync. The HD 800 S are a pair of outstanding headphones, ideal for audiophiles and professionals. Their exceptional sound quality and comfortable fit make them an excellent option. They're expensive however, you're getting a pair of headphones that will last for years to be used and perform at their best in any situation.

Anker Soundcore Life q20

The Anker Soundcore Q20 is a decent pair of headphones for those who wants to relax or just want a pair of affordable noise cancelling headphones. The headphones come with a basic bag that will protect them when you put them in a bag. The battery will last for a long time on long-haul flights. The ANC is a great way to block out noisy passengers and engine rumbles. However, their audio profile is a little heavy and warm.

The controls on the Life Q20 are well-marked and easy to use. On the left earcup, you'll find buttons for pairing and powering up the headphones, as well as turning on or Over ear bluetooth Headphones off the active noise cancellation. On the right earcup, you'll find controls for playing back media, including a multi-function button that allows you to activate the voice assistant on your phone and enable Anker's BassUp feature (more on that later).
