Its sweeping and suction powers are excellent, getting rid of surface litter from carpets with medium pile and also removing embedded dust on floors. It's not the fastest robot available. It's not the best climber, and it has problems with transition strips made of steel.

It also comes with more advanced automation features than many competitors, such as the ability to set virtual boundary markers using its mobile app. Although its application is a bit slow and the 980 may spin out a bit while crossing cables, it's still a highly efficient robot vacuum.
