The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option for those looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as other models do, to locate your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top rated robot vacuum-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is set up, you can start cleaning automatically with just one button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or two thorough mappings of your area to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It can remove pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with an advanced filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or watch TV without being distracted. If it comes across the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it and moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something needs attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs almost four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, so you can manage it even when not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the best robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate clean tough stains and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent too, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are nice to have, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category and could mean it's slightly more expensive than some homeowners require.

Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially serves as the on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel is an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This helps the robot clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
