The Best Robot Vacuum & mop in one and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do to locate your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It has a lot of features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the touch of a button. You can select an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger debris such as cereal and rice. You can also choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and does not lose suction as fast as some others do and can remove pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice claim, but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map your interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to clean up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundaries, vacuum & mop in one so it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a major issue if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves on.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden from view, as well as washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also create or merge rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's some clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, like clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It is able to even remove wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead simply following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping robot. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features you don't often see on robots of this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring and Vacuum & Mop in one is one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are useful however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury, which might make it a little more expensive than what some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top robot vacuum, there's one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it back to its base station.
