Registering a Pushchair Sale

Buying used baby gear can be risky even if it's been used for a short period of time. This is because, unlike new products, secondhand items aren't required to be registered with the Consumer Product Safety Commission. There's no way of knowing the reason for newborn Push chair recalls. Recalls can happen for many reasons, including defects in design or manufacturing defect that doesn't comply with federal standards. You can sign up for a stroller and receive notifications of any recalls.

This rule implements a standard that is mandatory for strollers and carriages as per Section 104 of the Danny Keysar Act on Child Product Safety Notifications as modified by the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008(CPSIA). It incorporates as a reference to the most current voluntary standard developed by the American Society for Testing and pushchair sale Materials (ASTM), ASTM F833-13b, and establishes requirements and test methods to reduce the risk posed by these products. CPSC staff worked closely with ASTM participants in the development of this standard.
