A Small Double Buggy That's Easy to Push One-Handed and Carry Up and Down Stairs

Weight

The weight of double buggie will determine the ease of pushing. A lighter buggy is easier to lift and carry, but might not have enough suspension to deal with bumps and uneven terrain.

The majority of double buggies have an upper limit on the weight of each seat, and some have overall frame maximums and it's important to check the details of each model before you purchase. Some models fold down with seats removed to make them even smaller and lighter this can be beneficial if storage space is at the limit.

Manoeuvrability

When choosing a small double stroller, it is important to think about its maneuverability. This is a good indicator of how easy it is for both children to travel in the buggy. Certain pushchairs are better than others at this and include the iCandy's "cinema chair" (where the back is elevated).

Buggies with narrow tandems can be effective in this regard as can side-byside designs. However, they are more substantial overall, and therefore could be difficult to maneuver through doorways.
