For older children, there's a backrest that flattens, making it ideal for nap times or extended walks. The magnetic 5-point harness is easy to use. It is also super lightweight, weighing just 6.6kg. Joie Evalite Duo

British brand Joie is committed to "sharing joy with parents who are expecting" and has created pushchairs that are "functional and innovative, as well as stylish". The Evalite Duo, their latest twin buggy, is their most recent product. It's designed to accommodate two children side-by-side, unlike the slightly heavier Aire Twin, and has seats that are raised so both children can view the world around them.

Weighing just over 10kg at just over 10kg, the Evalite Duo is one of the tiniest strollers for siblings available. It's suitable from birth and is compatible with Joie car seats or carrycots (with the Instant Sure Lock attachment). It's easy to drive or ride, lift, and fold, and the clever frame expands in width to accommodate the second seat.

Out 'n' about says the Evalite Duo's one-handed folding is an outstanding feature. They were awed by how quickly and easily the Evalite Duo comes together. However, they did notice that it's a bit more difficult to navigate bumps and rough terrain than other models.

They also mention that the front seat doesn't fully recline and they had to utilize their hands to bring it back down which they would prefer not to be forced to do when traveling with young children. Nonetheless, they say the Evalite Duo is a great pushchair that is a great choice with some tweaks. They love the compact size when folded.

iCandy Peach

iCandy Peach is a highly-sophisticated tandem buggy that offers parents all the options they need. It's compatible with a wide range of car seats and folds up easily with a single click. It comes with a range of additional features, such as raincovers and liners. Rival brands charge separately for these.

It is compatible with nearly all brands and accepts two car seat adapters for infants when you purchase car seats.

The only downside is the weight. It is heavy at 32.4 pounds, and it could be difficult to lift out and into of the trunk for Grandma. Additionally, it is more expensive than the majority of side-by-side double buggies. It is built to last and comes with a variety of advantages for the money. It is a great choice for urban parents who want to avoid lugging a bulky stroller around. The padded harnesses, 5-point buckle and straps that are padded make it safe for infants.

Bugaboo Donkey twin

The Bugaboo Donkey Twin has a fashionable and practical design. It's a quality product, but it's not without flaws.

It comes with very few features, both for parents and the kids. The only thing offered by the small side bin is that it is only available when one seat in the car is attached. There are no parent trays, cup holders or accessory pockets, and this could cause problems for long journeys.

The seats aren't very even and the gap between the seats is large. Our 5-year-old had difficulty sitting back comfortably. That's a shame considering it's a premium model.

On the bright side, it's a breeze to maneuver and the swivel wheels are great at getting up steep slopes and steps. It is also narrow enough to fit into the majority of doorways and folds easily for storage and transportation. It can be switched to mono mode with just three clicks, if you require more space or need to make a quick escape. It can even accommodate a third kid with the comfort wheeled board should you're required to. It is expensive though so for those on a budget there are alternatives out there. If you love the brand and are able to afford it, it's worth the cost.
