The adapter includes a 3 foot 'type A' cable connection that plugs into any PC or MAC USB port. The adapter includes a power supply, 6' serial cable and User's Manual. Our ANC-6185 adapter version offers either terminal block or RJ-45 connectors instead of the DB-9F of the ANC-6090. This with WiFi transmission for the Standard version, and in the RF version also with radio transmission at 433MHz (covering longer distances and with less battery consumption thanks to special optimizations). TXsoil is a compact and low consumption sensor that can measure and transmit the humidity of the ground WiFi or RF or GSM. TXSoil can transmit the humidity to a Web server or to a VisualVision's display / concentrator such as DisplayRX or ControlHUB or RXTXeasy GSM - with adjustable interval, remaining for the rest of the time in standby with very low consumption. TXsoil can be configured and read with a smartphone or PC, with just a few clicks. We tried to build an organic system so that whoever gets a TXtemp, TXsoil sensor or a bridge for RS232 or ModBus sensors and devices like TXdata can immediately use them without wasting time in configurations (and we also took the opportunity to insert some things into our system some "extra" not foreseen by the standards!).

It has a special capacitive sensor designed by us, efficient and of good precision, waterproof, resistant to oxidation and not subject to variations due to salinity and soil composition: better than this there are only the "extraction pressure" sensors (which we do not propose because they are not durable and also the sensor alone costs hundreds of euros). If there are several sensors near and/or other data to be transmitted via GSM, it is more convenient to use Standard / RF versions supported on a concentrator or controller such as RXTXeasy GSM so you will be able to use one single SIM. After sending the order, you will automatically receive an email with a summary, and the data for the bank / SEPA wire transfer. Now there was certain instances I used STP wire for rs485 because I had a lot of devices connected in a long run chain (DMX512 lighting fixtures). The A signals of all devices should be connected with each other and the same goes for the B signals. These signals are commonly called A and B in RS485 systems.

For RS232a crossover cable is used where pin 1 is connected with pin 6 at the other connector, pin 2 with pin 5, etc. This interconnects the transmit and receive signals of both PLCs, and also the handshaking signals DTR and DSR. If handshaking is not necessary, an ordinary 4 wire telephone cable could be used, provided that the pins are cross-connected as shown in the picture below. 3106A is what I typically use to wire balanced audio. Category 5 (Cat 5, Cat 5e, and Cat 6) cables are the most common Ethernet cables in use today. The diagram below shows a basic RS485 cable for use with the RJ11 socket on Unitronics PLCs. If the total length of the main cable is less than 50 m termination resistances can be avoided at the ends of the main cable. Using a repeater, the main cable is divided into different segments, each of which can be up to 700 m in length and connect 32 devices (this number includes the repeaters). Maximum length is 4000 ft. The maximum number of repeaters that should be serially connected is 3. A higher number introduces excessive delays in the communication system. The maximum number of devices that can be connected to a main cable is 32, including the Master.

Henceforth, we shall consider Slave devices to be measuring instruments with serial communication, even if the cabling is similar for all Modbus devices. Because they are produced in such large quantities, Cat 5 cables are relatively inexpensive, often less than half the price of specialty RS-485 cabling. This makes it easier to identify cabling errors. In order to avoid errors when many devices are connected, cables of the same colour should be used for all the connections to the terminals A and cables of the same colour should be used for all the connections to the terminals B of the various devices (e.g. white for A and blue for B). In order to avoid signal reflections, a 120 Ohm termination resistance must be fitted on each end of the main cable. Buy by filling out the order form below. After connecting as for point B, in the Settings it is possible to define a name for the device, and if the reading periodicity is less than 250 minutes, you can set an interval of hours in which the reading is not carried out / transmitted (for example you can disable the night).
